Short CV

In 1988 I obtained my diploma in Computer Science from the University of Kaiserslautern and my Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the Computer Science Department of the same university in 1995.

From 1990 until 1998 I was researcher and later head of the Knowledge Management research group at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).

From 1998 until 2000 I worked as product manager for Insiders Information Management GmbH.

Since August 2000 I am a professor and dean of Business Information Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. Currently I am head of the competence center Information and Knowledge Management and Dean of the Master of Science in Business Information Systems.
